Lidl Connect launches a €12.99 unlimited SIM-only plan
Lidl has entered the Irish mobile market with a €12.99 rolling plan: unlimited 5G data on Eir, 50GB of EU and UK roaming and no contract. Sign-up is through Lidl Plus only.
Lidl Connect launched on 5 October and runs on Eir’s network. The rolling monthly plan includes unlimited data, calls and texts in Ireland, calls and texts to UK numbers, 50GB of EU and UK roaming data and 100 international minutes a month. There is no minimum term, and Lidl says the €12.99 price holds for as long as the subscription continues.
Sign-up is only through the Lidl Plus app, with payment by Lidl Pay; an eSIM activates for free, while a physical SIM must be bought in a Lidl store. Roaming also covers Switzerland, Ukraine and Moldova, but data stops at 50GB abroad and the international minutes pause until the next monthly cycle. The contract is with 1GLOBAL, Lidl’s telecoms partner.
