- New SIMs only: it cannot replace or upgrade an existing Virgin Media SIM, though existing broadband and TV customers can add one. 4G only, with no 5G. The terms prohibit tethering or using the SIM as a hotspot. Unlimited data is subject to the Acceptable Usage Policy, which lets Virgin Media slow or suspend abnormally heavy use. EU roaming covers the UK, with unlimited calls and texts there; it is meant for periodic travel and surcharges apply above the data allowance. Virgin Media's long-form offer terms quote 32GB of roaming data while the plan page says 37GB. Up to six SIMs per account. Virgin Media advertises that the price will never rise, but the current long-form terms only describe €15 for the 12-month offer. Early cancellation costs the remaining monthly charges; after 12 months, cancelling needs 30 days' written notice.
